Alia Whitfield and I have spent the last couple of days looking at the pics and swapping notecards with our thoughts and opinions to whittle down to a winner. It was tough! Thank you all for taking the time and energy to post such fabulous pictures.

Special mentions to:

Alia ‘There are a lot of really worthwhile mentions, like Belle LaFavre’s simple black-on-red shots, Bex Hathaway’s Lion Tamer in Red, and Tox 2 by Silvernia Hathaway. All very well done shots.’

sachi ‘I loved the mood of the sepia style shots from Silvernia Nakamura. Connie Sec did some beautiful and eye catching compositions with lingerie and hot latex! I thought Whimsy Winx’s Drow in the water pool was absolutely stunning. I really loved the composition of Frosted Foto’s shots and she got some serious brownie points for using my sim for some of her photography! I noticed! I also really liked Mika Hope’s Bo Peep.’

  • The Final 3
  • Guns and Stilettos by Grazia Horowitz which Alia felt was ‘very good and has a lot of attitude. This would actually be much higher on my list if she had thought to list your products in her description, because I had to pick out what -I- think is there. I like that she included the gun (not just for the name) because the outfit takes on a very gun-moll appearance with the hat and high collar and mini and I also love that she got your newest (I think!) sculptey heels into it. And most importantly, -sexy-.’ While I particularly loved the earlier pics that Grazia did of herself in my new Alanna skins. So stunning I may have to find a place in store for one somewhere!

“Diver Girl” Pinup by vye Graves. Alia said: ‘I LOVE this because I feel she put a LOT of time and effort into getting it right. Even though I would have liked to see a light source on the avatar herself, for an “amatuer” photo it’s very well done and she’s obviously poured a lot of care and energy into it. This is what I like to see in contest photos, personally, as it speaks of wanting to win and I think with so many entrants the person should really want it. ESPECIALLY the first one. And I anticipate that kind of adventerous spirit would be fun to work with. Or, a nightmare. It could go either way. ;)’ Sachi thought it was a stunning shot and really loved the use of the boat and the night ocean. Vye obviously put a great deal of thought and effort into her shot and it showed.

Not This Time, Clark by Bourbon Zenovka. Alia felt the pic is cute and not just because she’s wearing my hair! She’s picked a very attractive and becoming pose for the outfit and what is a very modest shirt becomes tantalizing as the arch in her back makes it look as if the hem might rise up over her skirt’s waist. It’s very teasing and her expression (it’s hard to make your average SL deadpan look like an intended expression in a photo) suits the overall feel of the photo very well. It’s an obviously well-thought out piece and I like that she’s managed to combine pin-up with a high fashion feel. Sachi thought this was a very clever idea, well thought out and loved the title and composition of the pic. I loved how Bourbon was telling a story in her images.

In the end it was a very tough call to choose between Vye and Bourbon so we called in a third adjudicator who said ‘I think Bourbon’s Not This Time Clark picture is probably stronger in terms of the contest. As far as showing off the products of Adam n Eve this one is the winner.’

    So the winner is…

Not This Time, Clark by Bourbon Zenovka. (Pictured at top).

Congrats to Bourbon, we’ll be contacting you in world about the prize! Thank you to everyone who participated and all the pics had wonderful qualities, even if not mentioned here!

All the pics entered can be seen in our contest pool: http://www.flickr.com/groups/adamnevepinups/

We enjoyed ourselves so much we may do this again towards the end of May so get your picture and Adam n Eve thinking caps on!

    Why not find your fairy!

My fairy is called Feather Goblinglow

She is a bringer of riches and wealth.

She lives in high places where the clouds meet the earth.

She is only seen in the light of a full moon.

She wears pale blue like the sky. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.

Many people in Second Life seem to enjoy the idea of modelling but while there are agencies and catwalk shows the opportunities to be a model on a pin up poster seem to be limited. We thought it would be fun to offer our customers the chance to be a May Model Poster Pin Up at our store, Adam n Eve.

    How to enter:
Simply join our new flickr group and post your pictures in your favourite Adam n Eve item/s and you have the chance to win.
    http://www.flickr.com/groups/adamnevepinups/

    What do I win?

    1. The prize is a make over from Adam n Eve for the poster, including new items to be worn in the poster.
    2. A modelling photoshoot with one of SL’s premier artistic photographer’s Alia Whitfield.
    3. The shoot picture will be displayed at Adam n Eve as a poster for the month of May.

Do I have to be wearing everything from Adam n Eve to enter?
No, you don’t, but you do need to be wearing something you have purchased from the store. When you post your pics tell us why you love it. Be creative, be funny, have fun.

Obviously the more Adam n Eve your picture is, the more attractive it is to us and the more chance you have to win. Most importantly we want to see how fantastic you look in your Adam n Eve items!

    Deadline is 20th April!

This hair is the result of some new hair texture development. The textures are gently curled for a soft natural look. It is available in duo colour packs and there are 12 to choose from. There is a demo for every colour so why not come over and check it out! It’s named after Whimsy Winx because it reminded me of her when I put it on!
