1. Item not delivered or missing from inventory.
Sometimes Second Life has problems that means something is not delivered correctly. Ocasionally, due to demands on second life servers, an item can take a long time to be delivered, even as long as hour or more so try not to panic if it hasn’t arrived in the first five minutes.
This is not a fault with the item you have purchased, no one is trying to steal your L$ and not send you items you’ve paid for! These are problems with Second Life itself.
Trouble shooting tips for items not received or missing from inventory:
Check your Inventory “All Items” tab. In the white box at the top of your inventory, type in the name of the item you have purchased and can’t find.
Relog > second life. Even if you have crashed and come back, relog again. Often after relogging an item will have reappeared in your inventory.
Check your lost and found folder and your trash for the missing items. Sometimes second life will place items in one of these folders for no apparant reason.
Clear Cache > A full cache can seriously affect your second life performance. You should clear cache regularly,at least once a week, I do this every other day myself. If you encounter problems, always try clearing cache and relogging immediately, before you do anything else.
How?
Edit > preferences > network tab > clear cache > ok.
Close second life, come back and cache is cleared.
Please check your mute list. It is possible to accidentally mute someone and if you have me accidentally muted, you will not receive anything from me, not even items you have purchased from my store.
You can also log off second life and go to your user name in ‘my computer’, application data, look for second life and delete the cache folder. A fresh cache will download on your return to second life. This is a more effective way of cleaning out your cache.
Sometimes after all of these methods you still don’t have the item, then will log off for a few hours and find it there on your return.

2. Texture appearance problems.
Occasionally textures will appear unrezzed, strange, have black areas where they shouldn’t have, or you will see missing image where the item you were wearing should be.
Trouble shooting tips for texture issues:
In this case a good fix can be ctrl alt d to bring client into your file menu at the top of the SL screen.
Client > Character > Rebake textures.
Sometimes you need to do this a couple of times and clear your cache as well.

How?

Another thing that sometimes helps is to right click a folder and create new shirt or skin. Wear that and then return tot he item you have purchased. This method is like refreshing your avatar with a system default. Sometimes when you do this and then wear the item again it resolves the problem.

Look at your transactions, find the transaction that is for the item you purchased from me. Copy the whole line, specifically the Transaction ID number, Time, Description and the To/From information. Paste that into a notecard and drop it on me. Please include your name and Item not received in the NAME of your notecard.
My transaction history is very large with many 1L demo and providing me with this information leads to a much faster resolution of your problem. Sometimes it can take 24 hours for my account history to catch up with itself because it is so large, so please bear with me and I will get back to you.

Obviously occasionally we do make mistakes, we are human. I have been known to put the wrong brow colour of a skin in a box by accident in the past. If i make such a mistake, verify you purchased red and got blond, it will be dealt with immediately I am able.

Many people have different size heads and I do not have time to fit everyones hair personally I’m afraid but this guide should help you. For your information my female hair is made on a head size 50, male on a head size 60.

Other Information:
IMPORTANT: Any item that you buy which is copy, always make a couple of back up copies and put in different places in your inventory to protect the items with a back up. Inventory loss can occur in second life so protect yourself by copying your items. Keep a spare copy in a box on your land if you have to.
Always copy any item like a flexi skirt or hair before editing to fit in case you make a mistake. If you have a copy you can try again, if you don’t copy it and ruin it, you have spoiled your item.

Can I model for you?
I am sorry but I do not use models for my store. I do all of my own modelling except on rare occasion I’ll ask a friend to model something I think suits them more than my avatar. It takes too long to rez, position and photo others. It is faster, more efficient and easier for me to model things myself. We also make shapes so I do have a wealth of shapes at my fingertips should I need a different look. Sorry to be disappointing but I use the method that is most practical for me.

I am sorry but I cannot refund on no transfer items. If I clearly mark an item as no transfer then they cannot be returned to me. Please be careful of what you buy, check the permissions shown on the front of the advertisment and always try on a demo where available.
I bought ____ for my boy/girl friend, but it’s no transfer. Can you give it to them or refund my money? There’s no way I’m ever going to wear this.
Sorry, but if an item is no transfer it means you can’t give it to them but also you cannot return it to me for an exchange. If you want something else you’ll just need to purchase it. There are absolutely NO exceptions here. You may not wear it, but you are still in possession of my product. No transfer items are marked, also hair and skin is never transfer wherever you buy it. This is well known in Second Life. Please make sure you read what is in front of you, marked on the box. I cannot be held responsible for your carelessness or impatience.

I can’t get this skin demo off!!!! Help me!!
You cannot be skinless in Second Life. To take off a demo you have tried you must either put on the skin you have purchased, or return to what you were wearing before you tried the demo on.
“What is rez, why is it all blurry?”
Rez is the word we use for a form of lag. A texture can appear blurry while it is coming in. Sometimes rez can be quite bad and it can take ages to stop being blurry. This is a downfall of Second Life that most residents have come to live with.
Sometimes a garment or skin will rez faster if you pop in and out of appearance a few times. Another thing that sometimes helps is to take it off and put it back on a couple of times or swtich between skins/demos. Sometimes a relog helps also but the most important thing is patience, we all suffer from slow rez, it will get there eventually.
What’s a box?
A box is what the skin or item on the wall is in, often this looks like a flat picture. If you mouse over it tells you waht the items in the boxes are.

Custom
My policy is that I do not do individual custom work for Sl users. I do take suggestions and often I will make a suggested item. It is very hard, however, to realise someone elses dream or vision because you can’t see their imaginition. I can only see my own dreams and fantasies. I do not make avatars and skins to resemble famous people unless the famous person themselves or their representatives have given permission. I wouldn’t like someone famous walking around with my face on and I can appreciate that they may feel the same way. I think it would be unethical to do this without permission and an invasion of their privacy. I cannot make an item personal for you and only you as this takes too much time and is not worth it if I can’t sell it on to others, I have a real life, work, etc. Sorry if that’s disappointing! A graphic deisgner is paid by the hour and most SL users cannot pay those kind of rates for personal work.
But WHY? I’m disappointed!
I am sorry you are disappointed but it doesn’t make me happy and my happiness is as viable as anyone elses.
In my experience when I was new, customs often bring rudeness, constant changes, quibbling over paying for my time and the difficulty of realising someone elses vision, and I can’t see inside their head. I will not apply someone elses tattoo work to my skins as I do not feel it is appropriate to apply someone elses work to mine.
I do sometimes work on media projects from outside SL as I find it interesting trying to recreate famous people for special events and these projects can be fun but I take them on as desired and at my discretion.
